"Mercury Anon" does live performance.
He has hosted hundreds of Open Mic's. Performed at places like the Hedgegrow Theater in Media Pennsylvania, Side tracks Cafe' Lansdowne, Pennsylvania, 20/20 Fusion Cafe Media, Pennsylvania, Olivaro's, Hemet California, Josef Zeval art studios, Idyllwild California and the list goes on.
His music has been called fun, way out, serious, rediculous and rockin-but you be the judge. He involves the audience and sends them home on wings. A rare opportunity to experience in intimate settings.

. "Is it possible that music is the one element which may span the difference between the sublime and the ridiculous. It may soothe the beast of passion, yet it may arouse violent passion. It may bring forward thoughts of home, or heaven, of loved ones, the laugh of a baby, or the tears of a beautiful woman, or the arms of a loved one, or the jeers of a crowd." E.C.

. This collection of music is in three parts, the more subtle soothing, the more radical/louder, and some pieces a mix. There's a hope that there is something for every listener to resonate with.
Sincere appreciation goes out to all involved with the recording, (like a post card) who made this collective effort a reality. This effort was intended to do exactly just that. Bring people together over something of value that binds us together for a short while. This collection is only recorded voices, instruments, and vibrations from artist/people at a certain point in life. We expressed these points and froze them, so to speak, for our listening pleasure. I know I would rather sing the songs intimately and directly to you in the real flesh. So with modern technology, we can copy ourselves, our music for us all to enjoy. But the reality is you can only get so intimate with a recording/copy of anything. It is my hope that this collection and audio piece of artwork stimulates more intimate, real live interactive situations, not only on the level of music, but also on other levels of live; our work, our play, and purpose. It is my intuitive understanding that there is much more exchanged in live intimate contact then meets the eye.

. How we use our modern live styles have mostly devalued intimate real contact and living exchange. We value the use of cars over our legs, fast food over homemade, T.V. Over walkmans rather then direct sound and sight. It's time that the pendulum swings the other way before people start to actually believing that there is more authenticity in technology then live contact. You could say that this techno recording is an intent to bridge the gap between the two extremes. What you hear is only "a copy," a fragmented reproduction of me and nothing more. I would say technology is good for one thing: bringing us back to real live contact and community.

. It is now because of major world events that there is something seriously missing world wide like never before: piece of mind. It's extremely difficult to find it with telephones constantly ringing, commercials jumping at you through your ears and eyes, sitting behind boxes all day etc... This equals obsessive stimulation running out of control. But when you remove a good portion of external stimulation, you naturally uncover an environment conducive to peace of mind. You also start using your own mind and uncovering why you are here. This is how I wrote every song in this collection. I put myself in the environment and this forced me inward. This to me is the secret to creativity---#1. Uncovering an environment minus external distractions. And while you are existing, eventually it comes to the surface, guaranteed. That is it! Just try it and gradually let go of all the paraphernalia, one day at a time, and over time you will discover more and more who you are and why you exist.

. This CD is titled as it is to pass this message from pocket to pocket, ear to ear, friend to friend and so on. There is and will be an explosive creative wave amongst these days of social uncertainty. And you/I/we will bring it forth. You too are an artist, only possibly you don't know it yet.
This recording was done in a home studio in West Philly. I would like to personally thank Andrew for welcoming me into his intimate space for hours of recording. I felt at home and hope this is reflected in the music. Aside from recording Andrew assisted in playing drums, piano, and various other instruments to enhance the sound. The recording could not have went any smoother as I speculate it was meant to be. We had a laugh and got the work done. It was a perfect match at the perfect time.

. Thank You: John, Stu, Nancy, Karen, George, Cyrell, Susanne, Ian, Nigel, Dunkin, Frank, Emily, Sharif, Andrew, Jim, Steve, Dana, Jim, Lenore, Jimmy, Maureen, Colleen, Butterfly, Bo, Thais, West Philly Scene, Star, James, Alexis, Everyone who helped me on the food run, Open Mic sidetracks, Marti, Edible Landscaping customers, Jean, Jackie, Loretta, Bonnie, Terri, John, Marty, Virginia, Lenny, All the Pot Luckers, Anna, All my Blood Relatives and of course the "One." This compilation is dedicated to: Our creator, God, Spirit (however you define), the one that makes all things possible.
Peace.
