. "Is it possible that music is the one element which may span the difference between the sublime and the ridiculous. It may soothe the beast of passion, yet it may arouse violent passion. It may bring forward thoughts of home, or heaven, of loved ones, the laugh of a baby, or the tears of a beautiful woman, or the arms of a loved one, or the jeers of a crowd." E.C.
. How we use our modern live styles have mostly
devalued intimate real contact and living exchange. We value the use
of cars over our legs, fast food over homemade, T.V. Over walkmans rather
then direct sound and sight. It's time that the pendulum swings the
other way before people start to actually believing that there is more
authenticity in technology then live contact. You could say that this
techno recording is an intent to bridge the gap between the two extremes.
What you hear is only "a copy," a fragmented reproduction
of me and nothing more. I would say technology is good for one thing:
bringing us back to real live contact and community. . It is now because of major world events that
there is something seriously missing world wide like never before: piece
of mind. It's extremely difficult to find it with telephones constantly
ringing, commercials jumping at you through your ears and eyes, sitting
behind boxes all day etc... This equals obsessive stimulation running
out of control. But when you remove a good portion of external stimulation,
you naturally uncover an environment conducive to peace of mind. You
also start using your own mind and uncovering why you are here. This
is how I wrote every song in this collection. I put myself in the environment
and this forced me inward. This to me is the secret to creativity---#1.
Uncovering an environment minus external distractions. And while you
are existing, eventually it comes to the surface, guaranteed. That is
it! Just try it and gradually let go of all the paraphernalia, one day
at a time, and over time you will discover more and more who you are
and why you exist. . This CD is titled as it is to pass this message
from pocket to pocket, ear to ear, friend to friend and so on. There
is and will be an explosive creative wave amongst these days of social
uncertainty. And you/I/we will bring it forth. You too are an artist,
only possibly you don't know it yet. . Thank You: John, Stu, Nancy,
